Officials say the spraying in Vermont for mosquitos has cut the amount of the flying pests in half.
It started one week ago targeting swampy areas in Brandon and Whiting, Vt.
This comes after one person died from the EEE virus. One more is infected with the virus and is currently in the hospital.
The state's health department reported Friday that a horse from the Whiting area was infected with the virus as well.
