Police are looking for a man who asked to look at a gold necklace worth $2,700 at a South Burlington mall jewelry store, then ran away with it.
Police said the suspect was last seen running north in the parking lot of the University Mall in the area of the Bon Ton department store at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
They said he entered the Kay Jewelers store and asked to look at the 22-inch gold flat wire curb necklace, then ran off, holding the item.
