Dale Jarvis Jr. pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the 1st degree Tuesday.
FOX44 and ABC22 reporter Jenny Day reports that Jarvis Jr., 24, used a sledge hammer to hit his dad, Dale Jarvis Sr., 48, in the back of the head. They were both fighting the night he was killed.
He is facing 5 to 25 years.
Derek Champagne, Franklin County District Attorney, says this was the fastest resolution of a homicide he's ever seen.
Jarvis gave at least 5 different versions of what happened to his dad.
He was originally being charged with 2nd degree murder.
