COLCHESTER, Vt. -

(AP) - Vermont's largest utility says it's restored power to nearly all 28,000 residences and businesses that lost electricity during Saturday's thunderstorms.

Green Mountain Power spokesman Jeremy Baker says Saturday's storms with accompanying winds of up to 45 mph blew down limbs and trees that brought down power lines across its service area.

Baker said GMP crews, along with contract crews from Vermont and New York, worked through the night to restore power.
