BURLINGTON, Vt. -
A woman accused of burglarizing a home on Colchester Avenue Wednesday afternoon in Burlington, Vt. had her 5-year-old daughter with her.
According to a press release, the victim came home to find 25-year-old Shawna Hosmer, of Burlington, Vt. and her daughter inside the apartment. Hosmer fled with the child after the victim said he was going to call police.
Police say Hosmer entered another residence located on East Avenue with her daughter. She left after being confronted by the tenants.
No property was taken in either of these incidents.
Hosmer will appear in Chittenden Superior Court Thursday to answer to two counts of unlawful trespass into an occupied dwelling. These are felony charges.
Police say this is not the first time Hosmer has been arrested for burglary. Hosmer had her two small children (2 & 4 year olds) with her during a burglary back on June 5, 2012. Police located Hosmer on Church Street in Burlington and charged her with burglary and violation of conditions of release.
