KILLINGTON, Vt. -
(AP) - A five-week celebration of Vermont's harvest season is getting under way this weekend as part of Killington's 5th annual Hay Festival.
The festival is highlighted by a collection of giant sculptured hay animals.
The celebration includes the Motorcycle Rally, Restaurant Week, Killington Resort Brewfest, a charity 5K Run/Walk and the Spartan Beast Race.
Killington Economic Development Director Suzie Dundas says the Hay Festival has grown to become an annual fall tradition in New England.
Tropical Storm Irene interrupted the 2011 festival, but town residents, officials and businesses rallied to put on a shortened festival following the recovery efforts after last year's storm.
Dundas says the festival has something for everyone.
