Vermont's Largest Ski & Snowboard Sale Underway

BOLTON VALLEY, Vt. -

Some of you may be holding onto summer and wouldn't mind if it stayed hot well into October, then there are others who would sign up for year-round snow fall, so they could keep their board or skis strapped to their feet.

So for those of you itching for winter, there's some pre-season excitement this weekend, and Bolton Mountain will provide your fix.

The annual Bolton Valley rail jam is tonight, they'll collect snow from the local hockey rink and pack it down, so that the pros... or the amateurs can bust their moves.

There's also a huge sale happening through the holiday weekend, with more than one million dollars worth of merchandise so you're ready when the snow falls.

"We're hoping for early snowfall, but we're also hoping for a lot of snow this winter, if we could get some good snow in November to sort of get us set up, we plan to open on the second weekend of December," Josh Arneson, Sales and Marketing Director said.

Also tomorrow morning, there's a Run Strong Vermont 5K that will provide proceeds for continued Tropical Storm Irene recovery efforts in Waterbury.

And Sunday, Bolton will have live music and partner with the Richmond farmers market.
