SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

After nearly a dozen cars were broken into and one stolen, South Burlington Police ask everyone to be more careful.

They say the Bartlett Bay Road area is where a number of cars were broken into Wednesday night.

Police say a brand new 2012 Audi Q-FIVE was stolen as well.

While these types of crimes aren't new police say this area isn't usually one criminal target.

"Probably just an area they haven't been to yet," Detective Ron Bliss of the South Burlington Police Department said. "That has not been a real problem down in that part of the city, but throughout the city we've experienced it quite a bit."

Police say make sure your doors are locked. If you have any information call the South Burlington Police Department at (802)-846-4111.
