MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -
The Vermont Hard Cider Company is delaying the construction of a new cidery until next year.
They had hoped to begin construction in Middlebury, Vt. this summer.
But the permitting, engineering and design process is taking longer than expected.
The project is slated to cost $24 million.
Officials say the reason for expanding is because Woodchuck Cider is growing pretty fast.
By the end of this year, they expect to have over 130 employees.
