South Burlington Police Deal With Rash of Car Break-ins

Posted: Updated:
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

After nearly a dozen cars were broken into, and one stolen, South Burlington police are asking people to be more careful.

They say the Bartlett Bay Road area is where a number of cars were broken into Wednesday night.

Police say a brand new 2012 Audi Q5 was stolen there.

While these types of crimes aren't new, police say this area isn't usually a favorite of crooks.

"Probably just an area they haven't been to yet. That has not been a real problem down in that part of the city but throughout the city we've experience it quite a bit," said South Burlington Police Detective Ron Bliss.

Police say make sure your doors are locked.
