GEORGIA, Vt. -
A northern Vermont wind project has been put on hold after state leaders find violations.
The Vermont Public Service Board put a halt on the Georgia Wind Project because they say the company blasted rock on Bennington Battle Day when it wasn't supposed to. That's a state holiday.
According to the board, during a field walk, they found blasting debris where they shouldn't.
The Public Service Board will meet and discuss the future of the project next week.
