Vt. Man Arrested for Growing Marijuana in His Home

NEWFANE, Vt. -

A Vermont man recently found not guilty to domestic assault is now arrested for a new charge.

Police say 26-year-old Joshua Stratton, was growing 67 marijuana plants in his home in Newfane, Vt.

According to the Brattleboro Reformer he'd just finished being on trial for aggravated domestic assault.

He'd been in jail since June.

His fiancee, Lauretta Sheridan, is charged with helping him care for the plants while he was in jail.
