It's only Tuesday?!
If you're feeling like ^^this^^ today, chances are the weather hasn't helped this year. We have had a lot of rainy Tuesdays. It's funny to look back at the data because there is a strong trend of rainy Tuesdays dating back to May 1. Now by Friday, you may be feeling like this....
That's because we have had awesome weekends this summer/late spring. Let's go through the Tuesdays first to show the rainy trend.

In total, Tuesdays have produced 4.87" of rain since May 1! There have only been 15 Tuesdays, so that's an average of a third of an inch every Tuesday.
The data above and below is all courtesy the National Weather Service in Burlington, Vermont. Instead of listing every weekend weather (14 since May 1) I'll list how many weekends we've been dry versus accumulated rain, and the total.
Since May 1, the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) have provided just 0.82" of rain! And that is for two days for every one of Tuesday. Is the weather cyclical?

There's been a little switcharoo going on. Rainy Tuesdays are starting to become a thing of the past, while rainy weekends a trend of the future. We've seen a steady decline in the number of rainy Tuesdays and amounts since May 1, while the weekends have been getting a little wetter. While I type this sunshine is filling the sky on this Tuesday and my forecast includes a wet Saturday and early Sunday. Coincidence? :-)
