Vt. Inmate Found in New Hampshire

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. -

Authorities say a Vermont inmate allowed out on furlough has been arrested in New Hampshire.

New Hampshire police arrested 26-year-old Nathan Kenyon of Windsor on charges of driving without a license. They also discovered he had three outstanding warrants for simple assault and criminal threatening that stemmed back to 2007.

The Eagle-Times reports as long as Kenyon had stayed out of New Hampshire, the warrants would have stayed silent. However, because he crossed state lines, the charges came up in addition to an escape charge.

Kenyon was originally sentenced in December in Vermont after being charged with selling narcotics. He was released back into the community in April with restrictions as he approached his minimum sentence release date.

He's currently in the Sullivan County jail in New Hampshire.
