PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
A hit and run that closed a block of Margaret Street in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Thursday ended with police charging a driver with possession of heroin.
Police say Maximilian Marte crossed over the oncoming lane and struck the car of an 84-year-old man.
The front wheel on Marte's car fell off, but he still drove to the end of the block.
Both men were taken to the hospital.
Marte faces heroin and other drug charges. No word yet on the condition of either driver.
