It can be nerve racking for parents, not knowing where your teen is at night. But there's a new teen club in Plattsburgh that's opening its doors to this group of kids.
Sue and Yvonn Lacoursiere want to give teenagers a place they feel welcome but all of that could stop almost before it got started.
For Abby Lagette the LA's club is one of her favorite places to go.
"This is usually what I do on weekends other than go to camp. Other than the fair too this is usually what I look forward too," Lagette said.
And it's not just for the friends she has but the one she's made in owner Sue Lacoursiere.
"It's not that they can't do it anywhere else but they just don't and in here they feel at home," Lacoursiere said.
But the teen club hasn't had as many patrons as it needs to stay afloat and Sue and Yvonn have spent thousands of dollars of their own money into it but only have a little time left.
"If we pull through with all the people we have on board I think we can make it," Lacoursiere said.
The party has already gained popularity on Facebook and Abby is hoping enough people come so she can keep coming back.
