Earlier this month, the Chittenden Solid Waste District told people not to eat or sell vegetables grown in certain compost.
According to the Vermont Health Department, low levels of herbicides were detected.
Even though it shouldn't pose a health risk, it could still affect plants.
Now, the Chittenden Solid Waste District is trying to get help to those gardeners affected by the recall.
Gardeners would either have to apply for refunds if they already used the compost or bring the unused bag back.
