COLCHESTER, Vt. -
A dispute over how taxes were assessed on several Colchester, Vermont properties could be resolved within the next few weeks.
The town's attorney says they're close to a settlement, but have to wait because several key players, including the state tax commissioner are on vacation.
More than 50 property owners appealed their 20-11 re-appraisal.
They say they shouldn't pay more because of the site they're on.
Tax leaders say this settlement could have statewide implications on how other towns assess property in the future.
