COLCHESTER, Vt. -

I do mascotting.

I love it and miss mascotting. I still think I'm pretty good at it. What you'll notice today when I'm out there mascotting is I love one-on-one interaction, making people laugh, making people smile.

You have to be funny, you have to be somewhat of a comedian because you're doing one-on-one interactions with people. If you're just standing there in a costume and not doing anything people are going to get really bored really quickly because that's what it's all about.

It's not about me, it's about the character. It's about giving people a good time.

I started back in high school playing the high school mascot then I worked for Six Flags as a Looney Tunes character for a show.

I went off to college to Syracuse University. At the end of my freshman year tried out and got the role of Otter the Orange at Syracuse University. I kind of fell in love with mascotting. Being Otter the Orange at Syracuse will always be my favorite.

It's an industry and it's a brotherhood. The guys that do it are very close and know one another. It's really like a brotherhood. I'm very close to those people. I still keep in touch with these guys.

I love what I do now, but it was fun while it lasted. You get to be somebody else.
