Personal Care Attendant Jobs Coming to Vermont

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

If you're looking to break into the medical field, 150 jobs are waiting, and get this, the training is free.

Governor Peter Shumlin stood with members from the visiting nurses association to announce a near $100,000 dollar grant to bring the jobs here on Tuesday.

The group will train and hire 150 personal care attendants.

These people will help give medical attention to the green mountain state's aging population.

"Along with training 150 new people bringing them into health care careers, this grant will allow us to retool 300 employees we already have at the VNA," said VNA President Judy Peterson.

Informational meetings:

July 18TH at 1 p.m. and July 19TH at 9:30 a.m. at the Visiting Nurse Association building in Colchester at 1110 Prim Road.
