VEC Encourgaing Members to Conserve Energy Due to Warm Weather

Vermont Electric Cooperative is encouraging members to conserve energy Monday between the hours of 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. when the demand for electricity is expected to peak.

A press release says conserving energy during peak consumption times helps alleviate strain on the electric grid.

Members can follow these tips on conserving and limiting energy use by turning off unnecessary lights, delaying the use of major appliances, raise thermostats by 3 degrees.
