ST. ALBANS, Vt. -
A suspicious package was sent to the Immigration Building in St. Albans, Vt. Thursday morning.
According to St. Albans Police Chief Gary Taylor, there is no threat from the package.
A press release says the suspicious package was an overnight type envelope that contained documents and some suspicious ground powder.
The Vermont Hazmat unit is coming to retrieve the package.
Authorities say the shipping area of the building was evacuated around 7 a.m. Workers were allowed back in at 8 a.m.
Emergency officials are still on scene.
