The Northeast has something to be proud of, it's apparently a peaceful area to live.
Vermont is ranked the second most peaceful state in the country.
According to Economics and Peace.org, Maine come in at the top spot, with New Hampshire at number 3.
The State of New York comes in at 31 on the list.
And in case you were curious, the least peaceful state in the nation is Louisiana.
There's five elements on how states rank, they include homicide, violent crime, incarceration, the number of police and small arms.
This is the second year in a row Vermont ranked number 2 on the list.
