South Burlington Police are investigating an armed bank robbery at People's United Bank Thursday.

Police say a lone black male approached a teller, displayed a blue semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6'0-6'2 tall, weighs 150 to 160 pounds and had a prominent jaw. He was wearing a white polo/golf shirt with an "ADT" logo on the front, white pants, white sneakers, a gray baseball hat with the "B" on the front and sports style sunglasses. The suspect also had a sleeve type tattoo on his right arm consisting of wavy lines and circles.

Police say the suspect left the bank on foot toward the University Mall parking garage with an undisclosed amount of cash.  No injuries were suffered during the robbery.
