The Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS) on South Winooski Avenue in Burlington, Vt. was damaged during Wednesday's storms.
Becky Holt, Director of Development & Communications for COTS, says it will take about a month to fix the damage.
The water was 16 inches high inside the building.
The shelter provides meals for homeless adults during the day.
