10 New US Citizens to be Sworn in Vt. on 4th

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Ten people will become U.S. citizens in the Vermont city of Burlington on Independence Day.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will have a special July 4 ceremony at the Ethan Allen Homestead in Burlington.

Federal Judge Christina C. Reiss will preside over the ceremony and administer the oath to the new citizens who are from seven countries including, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mexico, South Sudan and Sweden.

U.S. Senator Patrick J. Leahy and Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger are expected to speak at the event.
