Congratulations to Chelsea Ingram Miss Vermont 2012! Chelsea is also the weekend Meteorologist at Fox 44.The competition was held at South Burlington High School, where 10 contestants from around the state vying for the crown.
As Miss Vermont, Ingram receives 9,000 in scholarships, over $12,000 in prizes and the opportunity to compete for the Miss America title in Las Vegas, Nevada. When Chelsea moved to Vermont she was attended Lyndon State College as a post-graduate student and was offered a job before the end of her first semester.
During her year as Miss Vermont, Ingram will travel throughout Vermont advocating her platform issue, heart disease. She will talk to various government representatives, business leaders, community groups and citizens-at-large, urging them to get involved in fostering heart health programs.
