JOHNSON, Vt. -

(AP) - A 56-year-old New Hampshire man has died in a highway accident in Vermont in which the driver of the second vehicle fled the accident scene.

Police say Ronald Turgeon, of Berlin, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Route 15 in Johnson when it collided with a car at 1:40 p.m. Saturday. Turgeon was taken to Copley Hospital in Morrisville, where he was pronounced dead from blunt force trauma.

Witnesses told authorities that the driver of the other vehicle, a green Subaru Legacy, drove away from the scene.

The accident is under investigation. The Lamoille County Sheriff's Department says investigators have spoken with two people of interest.
