Cassandra Gekas recently announced her run for Liuetenant Governor.
According to Seven Days, she says, when she told her employer about her candidacy, Paul Burns of VPIRG fired her on the spot.
Burns tells us in a statement Wednesday that Gekas resigned.
She worked as a health care advocate for Vermont Public Interest Research Group.
We reached out to Gekas for a comment, but we have not heard anything.
