RANDOLPH, Vt. -
Police in Randolph, Vt. are investigating an assault and robbery that happened just before midnight at a rest area.
The man, who was assaulted, told police, he got out of his truck to throw away some trash.
He says 3 black males approached him, one had a knife and told him to give up all his money.
When he handed over the money, police say, that's when they hit him and knocked him to the ground.
Police are looking for a white tractor trailer with New Hampshire Plates.
The man was taken to Gifford Medical Centert to be treated for his injuries.
