NEW HAVEN, Vt. -
(AP) - Vermont State Police say a Killington woman is in critical condition as a result of an accident in which her sports utility vehicle crashed into a barn.
Police say 19-year-old Katherine Hone is in Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington with "significant incapacitating injuries." Hone was driving a GMC Yukon SUV Saturday afternoon that crossed the oncoming lane on U.S. Route 7 in New Haven, Vt., and crashed into a barn.
Police say conditions were dry and clear, and it does not appear speed or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
Anyone who may have witnessed the accident or what led up to it is asked to contact The Vermont State Police New Haven Barracks.
