BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Today Rockpoint School held a wiffleball tournament to help raise money for its students on scholarship.
Even thought it wasn't the largest of crowds, the point was to get word out about the school. Rockpoint is a small boarding school tucked away in Burlington for kids who have struggled in academics or other aspects of their life.
Head of School CJ Spirito says that a wiffleball tournament was a perfect fit for the school's environment because it is exciting and inclusive of everyone.
"We raised a little bit of money but more some awareness of Rockpoint School," Spirito said.
" We used to be called Burlington's best kept secret, Rockpoint and the whole property, and I want to change that. I want everyone to know what Rockpoint is about and to be able to have kids find us when they need him."
Spirito says he plans on making this an annual event and looks forward to hosting it again next year.
