BURLINGTON, Vt. -
(AP) - Vermont National Guard helicopters will be more visible over the next week.
Members of the Vermont National Guard's Air Ambulance Company, C/3-126, will be training around the state, using airfields in South Burlington, Colchester, Rutland, Bennington, Middlebury and Franklin.
On Saturday, the unit will be doing live-hoist training on the Burlington waterfront with the U.S. Coast Guard and Colchester Technical Rescue Squad from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Officials say the Guard is training for Vermont emergencies and for future overseas missions.
