MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -
Rescue crews have recovered the body of a missing swimmer in Middlebury.
Police say a 54-year-old man, who they have not identified, was swimming in Otter Creek Thursday when he went under the water and never came back up.
Police say friends of the victim called to report the incident just before 7:30 p.m. when he didn't resurface. Crews searched the area, but could not locate him.
The search resumed at 8 a.m. Friday. They found his body just after 10 a.m.
