Dog owners in Essex are excited Tuesday night, because they are one step closer to having a new place to take their pets.
The new dog park would be at a site off West Street.
The village just approved it, the park now just needs funding.
One option is the PetSafe "Bark For Your Park" Competition.
With your help, they could win the grand prize of $100,000 to help construct it.
"After work, I'd love to be able to hop over to a dog park that was a lot closer," Matthew Reed, Coordinator for Essex dog park said.
You can help them win by voting daily from now until August 1st.
The Kingdom Dog Park in Derby, Vt. also made it to the final 15.
