WINOOSKI, Vt. -

(AP) Police say a 23 year old man who was shot while allegedly breaking into a Vermont apartment left a hospital bed where he was recovering but was later arrested at a motel and put behind bars.

Angel Concepcion and 26-year-old Trinelle Cox of New York were shot by an apartment dweller during an apparent home invasion at 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Concepcion had been recovering at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, but he left his hospital bed Saturday morning while hooked up to an IV and wearing a hospital gown.

After receiving a crime stoppers tip, Officers located Concepcion early this evening at the Econo Lodge on Shelburne Road where he was taken into custody without incident.

Concepcion is being held for lack of $250,000 bail. Concepcion will be in court Monday morning. The other suspect,Trinelle Cox, is still in the hospital.
