Cabot, Vt. - Police are on the lookout for a man who broke into a home and then robbed another man at gunpoint. It happened early Friday morning in Cabot, Vermont.
"Woke up, around 1:30 in the morning. Somebody pounding vigorously on the front and back doors," Home-owner Leonard Spencer said.
The 67-year-old says a man outside his house claimed he had gotten in a car accident.
"So, I stupidly opened the door and he immediately forced his way with his hunting rifle," Spencer said.
The robber, dressed in camouflage and a ski masked ordered Spencer to give up his money. And, was finally satisfied after he took $700. But, the ordeal was not over yet.
"He tied me up in a very business-like way. You know, hands behind my back and feet pulled up behind my back. All tied together so you really couldn't move or get at anything," Spencer said.
This is not the first time Spencer's house has been broken into. His house has been broken into four times.
"And I tell people, I can remember, there are a lot of old houses including this one that never had locks. People didn't worry about it. It just didn't happen," Spencer said.
