Police Investigating Home Invasion and Robbery in Cabot, Vt.

Vermont State Police are investigating a home invasion and robbery in Cabot, Vt.

Police say, around 1:30 a.m., homeowner, Leonard Spencer, 67, heard a knock on his door. The person at the door told Spencer that he was having car trouble and needed help.

When he opened the door, the press release says, a young man, armed with a riffle, forced his way into the home and demanded money. Spencer gave the young man an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say, before the young man left, he tied Spencer up.

The male is described as a young white male that was wearing hunter camouflage clothing and a ski mask. The male is believed to have left the residence on foot.
