RUTLAND, Vt. -
Just before 7 p.m. Thursday, Rutland Police were called to school street for a noise complaint, but what they found was a man trying to harm himself.
Police say he ended up on the roof of a house with a knife. After two hours of negotiations, the man was taken into custody and taken to the hospital.
"Our focus right now is getting the person in crisis the help they need," Sergeant Matthew Prouty of the Rutland Police Department said.
No one was hurt during the incident.
