Here's an update on Nellie, the horse that was sprayed some type of chemical last week in Essex Junction, Vt.
"She is doing much better, her burns are healing and she has been gaining some weight back, "Deborah Loring, Spring Hill Horse Rescue said in an email. "She is expected to continue to receive supportive veterinary care throughout the next 4-6 weeks, then she will be bale to have surgery for her eye removal.
Spring Hill's volunteers are assisting the family with supportive care.
