A Vermont State Police trooper is asking that the person who took a bike belonging to an 83-year-old woman from in front of the Jericho library to return it.
Police say the 10-speed bike was stolen on Monday.
The elderly owner used the bike to run errands around town and she had left the bike in the rack at the library for a long time without any problems.
Police would like the person who "borrowed" the bike "to be kind enough to please return it."
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the state police in Williston.
