Damaged Hiking Trail Reopens in Vt.

LEICESTER, Vt. -

 (AP) - A popular Vermont hiking trail that was damaged by flooding in 2008 is reopening in Addison County. A ribbon cutting ceremony is being held on Saturday for the Leicester Hollow-Chandler Ridge Loop Trail in Leicester.

      Representatives from the Vermont Department of Forest, Parks and Recreation, Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing, and the U.S. Forest Service were expected to speak.

      The trail was severely damaged by flooding in August 2008. The ribbon cutting ceremony takes place at 11 a.m. at the Minnie Baker parking area on Route 53.
