BURLINGTON, Vt. -
A lasting memorial for a 12-year-old boy, now sits in a Burlington park.
Close to 200 people gathered for a bench dedication Wednesday, for Bentley Davis Seifer.
Bentley drowned last July while swimming in Bolton, Vt.
The ceremony included stories from some of Bentley's friends and the reading of a poem that the 12-year-old wrote.
"Losing our son Bentley has been very difficult, but it's been made easier through love and support from our community helping us through this tragedy," Bruce Seifer, Bentley's father said. "Our hope is that, we can be with our community and remember our son."
Two oak trees were also planted in Bentley's memory.
