Vt. Highway Agency Urging Caution in Work Zones

Posted: Updated:
RICHMOND, Vt. -

Vermont Transportation Agency officials are urging motorists in the state to be careful in work zones this summer.

There are $658 million worth of transportation projects under way across the state this summer and that means there are more construction zones than usual.

Transportation Agency Operations Director Scott Rogers says the work zones arent just filled with yellow and orange vests and hardhats.

He says theyre filled with people who are parents, brothers, husbands, wives and cousins.

He urges drivers to slow down when they approach a work zone, pay attention, put down their cell phoned and make the work zone safer.
