BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Burlington College has some new leaders tonight. A new President and Dean have been named.
The current Vice President of Administration and Finance, Christine Plunkett will become the college's fifth president this week. Also, Dr. Stephen St. Onge will take over the Dean and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs position.
The two have plans to expand the number of classes offered, increase enrollment and build residential halls to establish more of a campus life.
"We will be continuing to strengthen and make sure word gets out about the unique programs we have, we'll be presumably adding new programs as we go along," Plunkett said. "The class size is small, one to six is the faculty to student ratio, students get a very individualized academic experience," St. Onge added.
Jane Sanders resigned as President in October, the former Dean is retiring.
On June 28th, there will be a tour of the building and a meet and greet with the new staff.
