A Vermont high school student is accused of making two bomb threats at his school, which was evacuated.

The 17-year-old student at Union 32 High School in East Montpelier has been charged with two counts of false public alarm and is scheduled for a court appearance on July 12. His name has not been released

Vermont State Police said a bomb threat call was made to the school on Thursday morning. A second call was made in the afternoon.

Police said the school was evacuated both times and students were not allowed back in until it was deemed safe.

Notes were found inside the school.
