RUTLAND, Vt. -
Rutland Police arrested two men accused of an armed robbery at the Midway Mobil located on South Main Street Tuesday night.
Police say, Adam Hornbeck, 21, and Shawn Batease, 19, both of Rutland, held the store clerk up at knife point. Both fled the scene.
A canine was used to locate the individuals. Police say, a member of the public notified them that at least one of the robbers was located in a basement of a residence located on South Street. The police canine was able to locate both subjects in the basement along with the cash from the robbery.
Both individuals were lodged at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility on bail and are scheduled to be arraigned at Superior Court on Wednesday.
