BENNINGTON, Vt. -
A 16-year-old Vermont boy has been accused of shooting a 13-year-old boy in the back of the leg with a BB gun.
Brandon Rowe of Pownal pleaded not guilty Monday in Bennington Superior Court Criminal Division to one count of aggravated assault with a weapon, and a misdemeanor charge of reckless endangerment.
The Bennington Banner reports he was released on conditions he not have contact with the alleged victim or witnesses.
Police said they took the report April 13 at Alta Gardens Mobile Home Park. The boy's leg was bleeding and swollen.
Rowe said the shooting was accidental.
