Burlington's Bike Path Ready for City Marathon

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Despite being ravaged by flooding last spring, Burlington's bike path is ready for the Vermont City Marathon.

Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger says the flooding damage to the bike path will be completely repaired by the end of 2012.

It will cost the Queen City, a little less than $200,000 and the rest will be paid for by the state and FEMA.

"We are working very hard to maximize our Federal investment in our recovery. We are hugely grateful to the Federal government," Sue Minter, Irene Recovery Officer said.

The total cost of the project is a little over a million dollars.
