NH, Vt. Sharing ATV Trails

Posted: Updated:
CONCORD, N.H. -

New Hampshire and Vermont will soon be sharing some ATV trails.

From May 23 through Dec. 1, ATVs that are properly registered in Vermont may be operated in New Hampshire on state ATV trails without being required to obtain New Hampshire registration.

Likewise, New Hampshire ATVs may operate in Vermont on approved ATV trails without having to purchase registration in Vermont.

However, a Vermont All-Terrain Vehicle Sportsmen Association trail pass is required on association trails, as well as proof of having completed an approved ATV safety class for operators under age 18.

The regulations also will be in effect next year.
